Marvellous mosaics, June 30

30 Jun 2014

Considering he is armed with just tooth picks, glue and scissors – and stamps – Siu Leung-hing turns out some impressive art work. The police clerical officer and member of the Police Philatelic Club has been a stamp collector for years. But Siu only started making a name for himself when he took up making mosaics about eight years ago. And it seems no subject is beyond him – portraits of Chairman Mao and the Mona Lisa, pandas, a Chinese opera mask, the Bank of China Tower and even the Great Wall. Photographer Nora Tam visited Siu to check out his collection of works.
