Prepare to be dazzled, January 15

15 Jan 2015

From levitating stereo speakers and droves of drones to rocket-propelled skates and cars that drive themselves, this year’s CES consumer technology trade show didn’t disappoint. Featuring 3,600 innovators touting the latest products and services in Las Vegas, the four-day extravaganza drew about 150,000 digital natives. A popular theme was virtual reality, with a variety of headsets offering 360-degree vision and integrated audio. Personal electronics were another hit, with next-gen smartwatches and even a mirror that allows viewers to see what different make-up or hairstyles could look like enticing the crowds. Photographers from AFP, EPA, Reuters, Bloomberg, AP and TNS captured the action.
