It has hosted over 40 heads of state and government, including royalty, in its 30 years, and now the iconic White Swan Hotel in Guangzhou is ready to open a new chapter in its illustrious history after a complete renovation. The first five-star hotel in the mainland and longstanding member of the Leading Hotels of the World, the White Swan – operated by the late Hong Kong tycoon Henry Fok Ying-tung – has witnessed China’s opening to the world from its vantage point on the Pearl River.
