Books ahoy! Floating library arrives in Hong Kong, July 28

28 Jul 2015

A special maritime visitor has arrived at Ocean Terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui. It’s a ship called the Logos Hope, which is offering a literary platform for Hong Kong residents. It offers more than 5,000 titles for both adults and children, some with a Christian slant. The service was first launched in 1970 with the Logos, which appropriately means “word” in Greek. The latest vessel, the Logos Hope, first entered service in Denmark in February 2009. The current tour is taking the ship through Asia and Africa. It leaves Hong Kong on August 9 and then sails to Taichung in Taiwan. Our photographer Nora Tam took a peek on board.
