The Fugitive

Pearl, 9.35pm

Still on the run, accused of the murder of his wife Helen, Richard Kimble (Tim Daly, above) travels to San Francisco to talk to a sailor, Nicholas Armenasco (Troy Ruptash), who's getting off a South African freighter. But the One-Armed Man, who was expecting a delivery from Nicholas, kills him before Kimble can learn anything. While the police question Kimble about the murder, he befriends Nicholas' devastated father, Henry (Dan Lauria), and tries to find out what Nicholas was involved in. Kimble also reveals the One-Armed Man killed his wife.

While Henry is out of his house, the One-Armed Man searches it but flees when Kimble arrives. Finding Nicholas' locker key missing, Henry and Kimble rush to the freighter before the One-Armed Man can take anything. But Henry outruns Kimble, captures the man on the dock and threatens to shoot him. Ironically, Kimble has to defend the killer: he is the only person who can prove Kimble's innocence. Will the One-Armed Man finally confess to Helen's murder so Kimble can stop running? Somehow, I doubt it.

Dark Angel

Pearl, 10.35pm

Another rather confusing episode of director James Cameron's cult sci-fi series.

It's post-apocalyptic Seattle and cynical genetically engineered teen, Max (Jessica Alba, above), and cyberjournalist, Logan, attempt to have a romantic dinner, with Max providing the rare fresh chicken. Max discovers Lydecker has tricked Zack into revealing the location of the other X5 escapees (genetically engineered teenagers like Max), and she must warn her friends of the danger before it's too late.

Band Of Brothers

HBO, 9pm

The final two episodes of HBO's most expensive original production are shown together tonight.

Part nine, entitled Why We Fight, sees Easy Company finally enter Germany, to surprisingly little resistance, and the troops have a chance to relax for the first time in a long time. A patrol in a nearby forest discovers an abandoned Nazi concentration camp, still filled with emaciated prisoners. The local citizenry, unbelievably disavowing knowledge of its existence, is made to clean up the place, as the news arrives that Adolf Hitler is dead.

In the final episode, Easy Company enters the Bavarian town of Berchtesgaden, once home to the top officers of the Third Reich, and capture 'Eagle's Nest', Hitler's mountaintop fortress.

Facing imminent deployment to the Pacific, the men compare their 'points' to see who has earned enough to go home. However, the Japanese surrender ends the war.

A closing vignette tells what happened to the men of Easy Company after they returned home. Starring Nicholas Aaron, Michael Cudlitz (above) Dexter Fletcher, Damian Lewis, David Schwimmer and Donnie Wahlberg.
