The opening day of the season at Sha Tin belonged to John Moore and to star apprentice Matthew Chadwick, who swooshed past yet another milestone in his mercurial career.

Moore has always been one of the trainers to watch on opening day and kept his record intact with a three-timer that tipped his first-day winning percentage over 20 per cent in recent years. But focus is switched to the city track for tonight's 8-race card.

Punters will have to wait until the last race of tonight's Happy Valley meet for racing editor Alan Aitken's feature race. He picks Perfect Style (pictured left) in the Big Wave Handicap. There's also time for Alan's best bet of the night. VIDEO & AUDIO AFTER THE JUMP.
