One of two speakers at last night's
Meet the Corporate Architects event was Michael Wu Wei-kuo, chairman and managing director of Maxim’s Group.
After graduating from university, Wu turned down an offer from investment bank Merrill Lynch to become a trainee at the Maxim’s Group. Seventeen years later, he shows no signs of regret. His resume now boasts the successful renovation of the Maxim’s brand, the introduction of m.a.x. concepts' stylish restaurants and the introduction of Starbucks to Hong Kong.
In this podcast, he talks to me about how he is able to manage the largest catering company in Hong Kong operating 540 outlets and serving 540,000 people every day during the financial crisis. AUDIO AFTER THE JUMP.
