The largest producer of beige marble in Asia based in Indonesia, Citatah knows better than to believe that success – once achieved, no matter how big – is set in stone.

With a diverse clientele ranging from luxury hotels in Las Vegas to the prestigious newly opened Lotte World Mall in Seoul, it takes pride in an evolving body of work that combines architectural finesse, nature, art and technology.

“The kitchen, for example, used to be small and overlooked. Now equipped with the best floor and countertop stone that homeowners can buy, it has become not only a central part of the house, but a lifestyle,” says president Taufik Johannes. “For us, the key lies in maintaining a distinctive edge, adapting to the market and empowering our people to fortify our legacy of over 40 years.”

Visually appealing and easily matching any furniture, Indonesian beige marble is as highly valued as stones from Spain, Turkey and Italy. Indonesia’s first company to operate in the stone business, Citatah has helped drive the locally sourced stone to become one of the most popular in the world.

The company works closely with equally distinguished global players such as Italian luxury decor and furnishing expert Bisazza and engineered quartz surfaces specialist Caesarstone. Among other partnerships, these collaborations enable Citatah to diversify its portfolio and penetrate the high-end residential sector in addition to the commercial market.

Leveraging four mining locations and eyeing another in the next two years, Citatah also aims to capture a larger market overseas, especially amid the restored strength of the economy of the United States and the continuing growth of the Asian region.

“We look forward to more partnerships with like-minded design, architecture and development experts,” Johannes says.

“We envision becoming a world-class brand in the industry, but without losing sight of the integrity and core values that have made Citatah the partner of choice locally and across the globe.”
