SCHOLPP takes load off clients' minds in moving machinery

Machinery was one of the catalysts that spurred growth and development during the Industrial Revolution. Just as machinery had been an enabler in that historic era, SCHOLPP opens doors for companies to expand their manufacturing operations internationally with its expertise in industrial installations and relocations.

From a crane rental company providing lifting and transport services in 1956, SCHOLPP elevated its know-how in handling big and heavy machinery to move the seemingly immovable. Whether for a single machine or entire factories, SCHOLPP combines an elite team of experts and the latest technologies to guarantee on-time project completion.

Today, SCHOLPP undertakes more complex relocations and international projects. SCHOLPP accomplishes nearly 20,000 rigging and installation projects annually for customers in 50 countries.

"What customers need to know about SCHOLPP is that they can trust us. We disassemble their production lines and we guarantee that their machines will work again in the agreed time frame and if required, even better than ever after the move. Our customers' trust in our performance is what helped us grow worldwide," says managing director Lars Gerlach.

Adding value to its services, SCHOLPP has the capability to retrofit the machines it moves to optimise their performance. Customers such as Daimler and Volkswagen have contracted SCHOLPP for its expertise in this area.

Working with major companies from the vehicle, printing, telecommunications, and food and beverage industries on tailor-made solutions, SCHOLPP has established subsidiaries in China, Malaysia and Spain. This year, it will open another subsidiary in Italy to support the international ventures of its clients.

SCHOLPP has extensive experience in carrying out relocation projects from the West to the East, but foresees a change of this trend in the future as Asian companies, particularly the Chinese, start to export their machines for production and need partners to assemble them.
