The world's most prestigious brands in intimate apparel have come to rely on an Indonesian family-run group of companies that has successfully interlaced advantages of its vertically integrated operations and strong technical competency.

The group - comprising fabric specialist WinnerSumbiri Knitting Factory (WSK) and garment units Sumber Bintang Rejeki and Mingala Garment - has fortified its leading position with superior workmanship combined with state-of-the-art machineries.

"We've built long-term relations with major brands because we meet their expectations in terms of quality, pricing, speed and reliability," says Marinee Yuprapan, president and director of Sumber Bintang Rejeki.

Specialising in warp and weft knit fabrics for intimate apparel, WSK is venturing into swimwear and sportswear. Relentless in its pursuit of excellence through continuous innovations, WSK has unveiled second-skin fabrics weaved using super microfibres that are notable for their comfort, freedom of movement and breathability.

From a warp knitting factory opened in 1973, the group has grown from strength to strength to become a one-stop solution provider of women's underwear, lingerie and accessories with shapewear as its strongest product segment.

"We are the only organisation in Indonesia equipped to meet the high quality and sensitive handling prerequisites of intimate wear from start to finish," says Roy Setiawan, president and director of WSK.

Marketed worldwide, the group's fabrics and intimate apparel are manufactured in compliance with OEKO-TEX Standard 100, which confirms that the raw materials used are free of harmful substances.

All group factories are also eco-friendly with processes in place to recycle water and heat. These sustainability initiatives reinforce Indonesia's standing as a preferred global textile production centre.

"We continue to look for strategic partners and we welcome all, from small companies to major brands," says Somboon Yuprapan, chairman of the group.

"We value relationships based on trust, not volume. It has to be a two-way commitment and we will grow from there."
