It takes tremendous grit, power and expertise to keep machines running smoothly on top of the world’s tallest tower, the Tokyo Skytree, and Sanso Electric has done just that, keeping the broadcasting station’s equipment well-conditioned with its compact pumps.
Established in the 1960s, Sanso is a pioneering developer and manufacturer of small-sized motors and high-efficiency electric pumps with less than 3.5kW. Many consumer and enterprise conveniences became feasible because of Sanso’s technology applications, from powering large industrial machines and household electrical appliances to improving circulation, booster and small industrial pumps for customers who are mostly original equipment manufacturers.
“Since we are free to do our own product designs, we can independently develop efficient manufacturing processes and can sell to anyone, including competitors,” says Naoki Kuroda, president.
Its latest development is a range of pump systems that can be fitted
within small water-treatment
equipment. Combining its expertise in fluid and structural analysis with its integrated motor production know-how, Sanso creates products that not only benefit society, but also helps to sustain the environment.
“Everybody needs water to live, and our pumps enable the drawing of clean, potable water,” Kuroda says. “More than providing superior technology and high-performance products, we make it possible for people to experience a healthier and safer life.”
Serving a wider market outside of Japan, Sanso is expanding its applications to provide circulation pumps to the plating and agriculture industry; marine pump and system products to the water industry; and compact pumps for use in the medical industry.
Sanso products are available worldwide, and with its seamless ordering process, clients can easily place customised requests or reserve ready-made products.
“Customers can be assured that our company-designed, high-efficiency motors comply with premium efficiency standards, particularly the IE3 [premium efficiency standard],” Kuroda says. “Accumulating decades of experience in various technologies, we can provide for a variety of customised needs in a short period of time.”
