[ First published on Mar 29, 1971] The Hongkong International School will come under a microscopic examination under a microscopic examination of its classes, facilities and general programme next week as it is seeking U.S. accreditation.

The headmaster of the school, Mr Robert Christian, said a visiting committee of three educators will fly into Hongkong for the job.

They are the chairman of the accrediting team and superintendent of the Acalenes Union High School Distinct in San François, Mr Leland Russell, the principal of the Taipei American School, Mr Richard Carlson; and the principal of the International School in Bangkok, Mr Stuart Phillips.

Ms Christian said accreditation would help the school Lo improve its programme and meet the standards of American schools.
