London-based Greek designer Mary Katrantzou is not only a fashion critics' favourite, she's also beloved by the brand collaboration set. Goodies from her crossover collections with Topshop and Longchamp have been selling like hot cakes - her Topshop collection was sold out within hours after its online launch in February.
Now the designer is lending her signature kaleidoscope of prints to a novelty item for Tsim Sha Tsui's Harbour City mall shoppers.
From next Friday to July 22, spend more than HK$1,000 at Harbour City during an extended weekend - Friday to Sunday - at two different shops and make a HK$50 donation to the Community Chest, and you can claim a limited edition Mary Katrantzou/Harbour City umbrella and matching cover.
A Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design alumna, and increasingly influential force in ready-to-wear, Katrantzou won the emerging talent award at last year's British Fashion Awards. She's been dressing international A-listers from the likes of Anna Dello Russo and Keira Knightley to our home-based socialites Olivia Lee-Davies and Reyna Harilela.
Consider the umbrella a bargain worth singing about in the rain - one of the designer's printed shift dresses can cost over HK$6,000.
