Doctor not warned after complaints, court told

A doctor accused of molesting three nurses at Queen Elizabeth Hospital had never been given an official warning even though two of the women had lodged complaints with their superiors, Kowloon City Court heard yesterday. Dr Allan So Cheuk-wai returned to work in the same ward after a two-week suspension following the complaints from the two nurses. So, 35, had seen a psychiatrist during his leave, but his superiors had not asked for a psychiatric report before letting him resume work, the court was told.

Policewoman accidentally fires revolver in station

A female police constable accidentally discharged her revolver while handling it in the armoury loading area of Kowloon City police station at about 1pm. No one was injured in the incident, the third such case this year, and it was being investigated, police said.
