Cantop-pop stars help sing music site's praises

Hong Kong online music site Moov.hk is now available on smartphones. The free app, for iPhone and Android phones, offers access to more than 1.5 million songs.

To promote the new service, Canto-pop singers Andy Hui Chi-on and Janice Vidal, and veteran crooner George Lam Tze-cheung, were enlisted to star in a series of commercials.

Lam's up-and-coming singer son, Alex, also made a guest appearance alongside his dad.

Moov released behind-the-scenes details of the making of the commercials this week, while the stars shared their experiences.

Lam said he enjoyed filming with his son for the first time, although they have already performed together on stage.

The stars also shared their own playlists with fans.

Vidal said she fell in love with acid jazz band The Brand New Heavies the first time her father played it for her when she was just 14 years old. Other favourites included Bombay Bicycle Club, and Bjork.
