Adidas' autumn-winter collection will be in the stores on Friday, amid the buzz of the London Olympics. The sportswear brand's campaign girl, Charlene Choi Cheuk-yin of Canto-pop duo Twins, said she had been glued to the television watching the Games.
An avid fan of diving and gymnastics, she said gymnast Li Xiaopeng, who won gold in Beijing in 2008, was her idol and she regretted not having had the chance to cheer him on. This year she was most excited about swimmer Sun Yang, who this week won gold in the men's 400 metres freestyle in Olympic record time.
'Although I couldn't be in London to see him win, I was so moved and excited cheering for him in front of the television,' she said. 'It's only been a few days since the Olympics started and we have already been doing so well. I hope we keep getting good news from the China team.'
Choi joined a bevy of models on the photo shoot for Adidas' new campaign 'Train Together'. 'I grew up as an only child so I cherish spending time with friends now that I an older. It's more fun exercising or going to my favourite restaurant with friends,' she said.
