Road in awful state

DRIVING down Kennedy Road is like driving across a ploughed field.

For months, it has been a bone-shaking experience as from end to end the various utility companies have dug it up without caring at all about reinstatement.

When finally it was resurfaced along part of its length for the first time in years, it was dug up again in two places - within hours of the resurfacing.

I would like to ask the Director of Highways: (a) How many excavation permits he has approved for Kennedy Road in each of the last three years? (b) Why has he only resurfaced part of it and not the whole road? (c) Why did he allow Hong Kong Electric to carry out two new excavations in the resurfaced portion within hours of the resurfacing? (d) When is he going to bring the road up to a proper standard? NAME AND ADDRESS SUPPLIED
