Amid rapid industry developments worldwide, EAS strives to make just-in-time production a reality. Specialising in parts industry automation, the company provides customers the right solutions that allow them to quickly change the moulds in their moulding machines, thus reducing downtime.
Company president Vincent Nijzink says two things primarily drive the success of EAS - maintaining a global mindset and building strong networks. With its international thrust rooted from the beginning, EAS has strategically expanded its presence in major markets worldwide within 10 years of operations. The company has established offices and sales networks and partnered with distributors in the United States, Europe, parts of the Middle East and Asia, particularly India and the mainland.
Besides a long history in the industry, the fact that only two other companies such as EAS operate worldwide gives the company a competitive edge. EAS is one of the few players that offer a complete range of automation solutions to the parts industry. It also advises customers on how to make the most of the solutions they have purchased. EAS can help clients fix their factory layout in order to maximise their production and reduce downtime and inventory.
The biggest clients of EAS are in the automobile industry. Seeing growth on the mainland, EAS established an office in Shanghai in 2007 and has been building up a strong sales network in the region. The company hopes to establish more sales branches with local staff to better cater to customer requirements. EAS hopes to grow on the mainland by establishing its presence and customising its products to local market needs.
Apart from serving the automobile industry, EAS also caters to consumer electronics manufacturers. "We are looking for other opportunities across industries and across regions," Nijzink says.Topics: Netherlands Country Report 2012
