Cartier - Mystery of Time

Cartier, long hailed as one of the world’s leading jewellers and watchmakers, will showcase its groundbreaking achievements in watchmaking at the WATCHES&WONDERS exhibition.  Its renowned watchmaking history, craftsmanship and innovation will be presented through iconic timepieces and a selection of brand new and exclusive watches for men.

The illustrious brand’s incredible craftsmanship and artistry are fully encapsulated in its variety of watch collections.  The High Jewellery watch collection, gilded with precious stones, is testimony to the quality for which Cartier strives, while the Metier d’Art line reveals an unparalleled level of creativity, innovation and dexterity in design.  The beautifully intricate exterior complements an equally complex interior, where the same innovation and exceptional craftsmanship can be observed in the mechanism and movements of the complicated timepieces from the Fine Watchmaking Collection.

Among the highlights on display is the Ballon Bleu de Cartier Tourbillon watch with a Double Jumping Second Time Zone featuring an 18K pink gold case and Calibre 9456 MC movement. Combining innovation and inspiration is the Rotonde de Cartier watch with a crocodile motif in a cameo of natural agate on an 18K white gold dial, calibre 9452 MC movement and flying tourbillon in a numbered limited edition of 20 pieces.

The art of haute horlogerie and high jewellery is fully demonstrated in the Peacock watch from the Les Indomptables de Cartier Collection.  More than a watch, it features an exquisitely bejewelled brooch shaped like a peacock and set with brilliant-cut diamonds on a ruby flower framed by nephrite jade leaves.  It can be clipped onto the face of the watch with the time visible, or leave the hours free to reveal the mother-of-pearl marquetry face blooming with sculpted white gold flowers, and dazzling brilliant-cut diamonds. Only 60 pieces are available in a numbered and limited edition.
