Trade fair nets 500 deals

Nearly 500 agreements, with a total investment of US$510 million, have been reached at a trade fair in Sanming, Fujian.

Of the contracts, 137 were overseas-funded projects involving $310 million in foreign currency, according to He Tuanjing, the city's mayor.

The three-day fair drew more than 1,400 businessmen from 14 countries and regions.

Before the event, the city issued a series of preferential policies for overseas investors, for tax and land use.
