A spectacular $5 million fireworks display will be among the special attractions marking next month's official opening of the Lantau Link, a key project in the Airport Core Programme.
The 20-minute display at 8 pm on April 27, will highlight the official opening of the transport corridor by former British Prime Minister Baroness Margaret Thatcher.
The exhibition will include a first for Hong Kong - a fireworks waterfall flowing from the southern rim of the Tsing Ma Bridge into the sea. This will last for 45 seconds.
Other fireworks will be launched from barges north of the bridge.
