Cashmere spin

China is expected to export slightly more cashmere this year than the estimated 2,300 tonnes shipped last year, the overseas edition of the People's Daily said yesterday.

Exports would be boosted by the implementation of strict public bidding and the removal of export controls, but the increase was unlikely to be big, the newspaper said, without giving figures.
