INSTANTLY recognised in every corner of the Earth, the saintly Mother Teresa joined the jetfoil set yesterday and tripped over to Macau - although we can be sure her visit wasn't in any way associated with the usual reason people travel to the sleepy Portuguese enclave.
Her presence in Macau was timely indeed for it appears she needs to spread a bit of her missionary spirit in those parts.
According to a picture editor of my acquaintance, when he called Macau to commission a photographer to take pictures of the Nobel Prize winner while she was there, the snapper in question apparently didn't have a clue who Mother Teresa was.
He evidently replied: ''I don't know what she looks like. But maybe you can ask her to watch out for me - I'll be wearing a green jacket.'' So if you are reading this, Mother Teresa. Please note.
