Income tax revenue up 42pc

The mainland recorded a 42.5 per cent rise in personal income tax revenues in the first half of this year, the chief economist of the State Administration of Taxation said. Xinhua (the New China News Agency) quoted Li Yonggui as saying first-half revenue was 12.34 billion yuan (about HK$11.46 billion).
