Aussie stars give football tips

Stars of Australian Rules football gave students a taste of the big league at a special training session.

Paul Williams and Scott Crow, of Melbourne-based team Collingwood, coached youths attending the Australian International School.

The Australian Football League players were in Hong Kong for Ansett Australia's Grand Final Party.

About 60 youngsters, aged five to 14, had lessons in kicking and catching, with the emphasis overwhelmingly on fun.

After the session, the players signed autographs and answered questions about their sporting careers.

Robert Evans, Ansett's general manager for Hong Kong, southern China and Macau, said: 'We want adults and children alike to know that we fully support Australian sport, both at home and abroad.' This is the second year running that Ansett has hosted Grand Final Day activities for Australian Football League fans in Hong Kong. The game, held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, is the highlight of the Aussie Rules season.
