Lianyungang throughput up

The Asian-European land bridge link at Lianyungang, in Jiangsu province, handled 28,500 teu (20 ft equivalent units) between January and November last year.

This compares with transit throughput of 40,000 teu for the previous past five years to mid-Asia, West Asia and western Europe - 95 per cent of which passed through Lianyungang.

Lianyungang, which has 29 operation berths, offers services to 600 ports in 120 countries.
