Koreans setting fine example

I was touched by the news that the people of Korea were donating blood in order to improve their country's trade account.

Not only have they shown calmness and self-discipline since the eruption of the financial crisis, but this time they, once again, have demonstrated that personal interests should be set aside when their nation is in peril. Despite the devaluation of the won and free-falling of the Composite Index, the Koreans have not lost their pride.

Rather, with this remarkable sense of unity, they will be among the first to rebound from the turmoil.
