Thousands of civil servants have been disciplined or dismissed over the past four years.
A total of 1,390 disciplinary cases were reported in the financial year ending in April, compared with 1,377 recorded the year previously.
Of the 1,390 cases, 764 received informal disciplinary action, 88 were dismissed and more than 500 received other forms of punishment. Compulsory retirement rose more than a third to 26 cases during the same period to April.
A total of 5,713 officials have been disciplined over the past four years.
