Henderson strategy a success

Henderson Land Development has 1,737 prospective buyers for its Parkland Villas in Tuen Mun after the three-day registration ended yesterday.

The strong response was due to the developer's low price strategy, estate agents said.

Henderson Land will release another 116 units, bringing the number on sale tomorrow to 628.

The latest batch is priced at $2,468 per square foot for cash payment, up 7.5 per cent from the first batch's $2,295 per sq ft.

A spokesman for Henderson Land said only eight prospective buyers registered in company names with the majority of applicants end-users.

Because of this, estate agents said Henderson Land should have no problem selling 90 per cent of the units on the first day.

Henderson Land sold 230 units in the development through internal sales this week. Units on sale measure between 548 sq ft and 830 sq ft.
