A woman was sent to hospital after a dispute with hawking control officers in North Point yesterday. The 41-year-old woman was allegedly found selling clothes at the junction of Tong Shu Road and Chun Yeung Street at about 7.30am. She told the officers her 40-year-old husband ran the mobile stall and she was simply minding it while he went to the toilet, a fact he confirmed when he returned. Officers stopped the woman from leaving, grabbing her left hand. Police were called after she complained of pain in her left hand and she was taken to hospital. The Urban Services Department said she had been summonsed for illegal hawking and obstruction.
