Cable TV changed the Cable Guide to a weekly in April in order to provide to our subscribers the most updated Cable TV programme schedules and comprehensive highlights. A monthly publication could never catch up with the change of programmes for a multi-channel broadcaster like Cable TV, many of which were received at the last minute from our satellite channels.
In giving the weekly magazine a new look, we strive to make the new Cable Guide not only a programme schedule guide, but a leisure entertainment magazine for all.
Apart from programme schedules, the Cable Guide incorporates three books with the main book featuring synoptic highlights, feature articles, Cable TV presenters' profiles and columns. The other two are sports highlights and a children's special to cater to the interests of every member of the family.
We have also introduced a number of games and quizzes to promote the magazine. The latest is that readers receive five free pay-per-view coupons if they buy five issues within two months.
Far from making any profits, Cable TV has invested substantially to turn the Cable Guide into a weekly in our incessant efforts to serve our subscribers.
