Cold front sweeps in to set autumn low

A cold front hit the SAR yesterday, pushing temperatures under 15 degrees Celsius - the lowest so far this autumn.

The Observatory said a cool northeast monsoon affecting southern China lowered temperatures in urban areas to 14.9 degrees in the morning. They dropped to 13 degrees in some areas of the New Territories. Rain also swept in, with more than 30mm falling in most areas. It is expected to get warmer in the next couple of days, with temperatures rising to at least 20 degrees.
