Prices up at New Town

WITH property consultants agreeing the residential market is picking up, it is no wonder one of the more popular developments, New Town Plaza, has seen a 4.7 per cent price increase in the last couple of months.

According to the latest Brooke Hillier Parker (BHP) property report, flats in New Town Plaza were selling for $4,470 per sq ft in March, when activity started picking up, and are now set at $4,681.

''New Town is a very popular development in Sha Tin and is very convenient for commuters as it is located near the KCR,'' said David Faulkner, a partner at BHP.

Prices were set at $4,587 per sq ft at the end of last year but they slid down to $4,294 per sq ft during February.
