Pleasant walk being ruined by war games

Although I don't enjoying curbing anyone's fun, I would like to lodge a complaint about the war games that take place every weekend at the peak of Mount Davis in Pokfulam.

Walking up the mountain and taking in the views from the top is usually a pleasant experience; however, this is now ruined by the 20 or so men who run around the derelict World War II encampment, dressed in full camouflage gear, shooting at each other with pellet guns. Basically the whole peak of the mountain becomes out of bounds to the walker for fear of being hit by one of the pellets.

The local council recently spent money updating the barbecue area and has also installed a children's playground, yet as far as I can see, these facilities are unused and are now taken over by the weekend soldiers.

Apart from the slightly disconcerting aspect of being shot by a pellet gun (I was hit on the head once), I also object to the littering that also takes place. The whole peak is literally carpeted in little white pellets, and the amount of rubbish left behind by the 'soldiers' is appalling. I checked the area where they were resting after they had left, and it was strewn with pellets, batteries (for the guns) and water bottles. This despite there being a rubbish bin within a distance of six metres. As I said, I don't wish to curb anyone's fun and I am happy to live and let live, but one individual's fun should not be at the expense of others. I also wonder whether it is illegal to fire these guns on council property.
