Company adverts tackle 'exaggerated' reports

Nameson Industrial Limited published an advertisement last Friday in Hong Kong newspapers about the intensity of the dispute between workers and factory guards and the level of injuries.

The statement said reports in Huizhou about the incident were 'untrue and exaggerating' in terms of the number of injuries, which had caused damage to the image of the company.

The company maintained in the statement that no one was killed and the injuries were limited to 63 people. All the injured workers received proper medical treatment, it said.

It added that a total of 45 armed police and 160 public security officers were deployed.
