50 teens in training scheme

Fifty jobseekers, aged 15 to 19, will have the chance to gain work experience from the community service sector under a new government initiative. The scheme, organised by the social welfare offices of Sai Kung and Wong Tai Sin and two youth service groups, will be held from next month to December, the Social Welfare Department said yesterday. The youngsters will first receive pre-employment training before being sent to the districts' social organisations for three-week attachment training.
