Jelik proves invincible in regatta

Hong Kong: Frank Pong's Jelik make a clean sweep of line honours in all five races in the IRC Racing Division A of the three-day China Coast Regatta, which finished off Deep Water Bay yesterday. Fred Kinmonth's Stella, however, won the division on corrected time after finishing first and second in yesterday's races to add to triumphs in the first three races. China Blues 2, skippered by Helmuth Hennig, denied Stella a clean sweep by winning race five on corrected time. Sam Chan's Ffree Fire finished second behind Jelik in both races yesterday and the two will renew their rivalry in the 355-nautical-mile offshore Hainan Race, which starts tomorrow.
