About 20 companies offering illegal phone-sex services have been forced to close in Shanghai since November amid a national crackdown on 'unhealthy things', the Shanghai Daily said. The Ministry of Information Industry, the telecommunications industry regulator, launched the crackdown in an effort to limit telephone hotlines to those providing information and public services.
