Mini remote control cars up for grabs

Just what can you do with a boot load of old spare car parts and engines that are better suited for the scrap yards? Answer: build a brand new car!

With US$3,000 (HK$23,400) and lots of imagination, 27 teams from around the world have taken on the Full Metal Challenge organised by cable television channel, Discovery. The aim is to come up with their 'dream vehicle' that can out-perform that of their competitors.

The TV channel produced a series with the same name, and the final episode will be broadcast at 9pm tomorrow.

In this last programme, a team from Shandong Province is pitted against two other teams from the United States and the United Kingdom. Will their car, the Flying Horse, be able to beat the Wild Thing, which is said to be the only British tracked vehicle and has a 'hydro-pneumatic suspension system'?

Discovery Channel is giving away five remote-controlled mini-car sets (pictured above). Simply answer this question: Tomorrow's episode of Full Metal Challenge will feature teams from which three countries? Send in your answer on the back of an envelope to our office (address on Page 10). The first five correct entries will win this nifty little gadget.
