DEAD CHICKENS TEST POSITIVE FOR H5 VIRUS

Three samples from the 150 dead chickens found dumped at a disposal depot in Kam Tin on Saturday have tested positive for H5 virus. It was contrary to a preliminary test result that the chickens did not carry the virus. The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department said the earlier test result might have been affected by different factors such as bacteria.
