FIRST-QUARTER BOOST FOR SHENZHEN EXPRESSWAY

Shenzhen Expressway's net profit rose 3.68 per cent to 92.04 million yuan (about HK$86.72 million) for the first quarter, driven by traffic volume growth. The H share said the year-on-year quarterly return was helped by 12.45 per cent growth in income from main operations of 166.1 million. It saw record daily toll revenue at 318,000 yuan. Two toll highways contributed a combined 40.92 million yuan revenue between January 1 and March 18.
