French Open heads for climax
The French Open tennis tournament concludes this weekend with the women's singles final tomorrow and the men's championship clash on Sunday.
In men's semi-final matches today, Spain's ninth seed Albert Costa (pictured)- the defending champion - plays third seed and fellow countryman Juan Carlos Ferrero, while unseeded Martin Verkerk of the Netherlands meets seventh seed Guillermo Coria of Argentina.
Serena Williams played Justine Henin-Hardenne in the first women's semi-final yesterday. The seemingly invincible Williams has won 33 consecutive matches at Grand Slams.
Second seed Kim Clijsters faced unseeded Russian Nadia Petrova in the other semi-final.
Cable Sports (channel 6) has live coverage of the women's final at 8.30 pm tomorrow, and the men's final at 8.30 pm on Sunday.
