Two held as police swoop on suspected smugglers
Marine Police seized more than $1 million worth of smuggled goods from a boat off East Ping Chau in Mirs Bay at 11.30pm on Saturday. The goods included computer hard disks, projectors, LCD displays, printer ink cartridges, rolls of leather and 17 boxes of an unknown white powder. Two men on the boat were arrested.
man dies after cup outing
A 27-year-old man who returned to his Aberdeen home at about 5am yesterday after watching a live World Cup broadcast with friends was found dead by his mother when she arrived home at 8pm. Police said there were no suspicious circumstances.

35 held in anti-triad raid
Police arrested 33 men and two women aged 14 to 38 in an anti-triad operation in Tsuen Wan and Kwai Chung on Saturday for claiming to be triad members and recruiting triad members. They were also suspected of being involved in drug trafficking.
two hurt in car crash
A driver and passenger were injured when their car crashed into a barrier in Tai Po Road outside Sha Tin Racecourse just after 5am. Firefighters had to rescue the pair, who were trapped.
mtr service disrupted
The MTR service to Tung Chung was disrupted for seven minutes from 3.20pm when a train driver at Lai King station asked passengers to get off because of a problem.
