1/F Duddell Street, Central
The designer's first retail outlet opened two weeks ago in Central. For the bride wanting the designer's adventurous and sensual touch without the couture price tag, the boutique makes it possible. It stocks 15 different wedding dresses, six bridesmaids' dresses and four flower girl dresses. Clients can browse the racks and try on the dresses, which can then be ordered to size. 'It's a less painful way of shopping for a gown and cheaper than tailor-made,' the designer said. Dresses are in keeping with what the designer is known for: structured, three-dimensional, appliqued, less spangly than what he is recognised for but 'still quite me'. A small range of homeware items is also available, including candles, photo frames and jewellery. Brides dresses from $18,000, flower girl dresses $2,500 up. Three months is required for orders. Custom-made dresses require three to six months.
