Help a phone call away

Students and parents can seek help from the Education and Manpower Bureau hotlines on 2832 7740 and 2832 7700, and from Caritas on 2337 1600 until Friday. The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups also runs a helpline on 2777 8899.

Yung Shiu-yin, a social worker at Caritas, said about 100 calls had been received by 5pm yesterday, fewer than last year. About 80 per cent of the calls were from parents.
