The Asia Art Archive held another successful annual fundraising dinner at the China Club last month. The non-profit organisation led by Claire Hsu-Vuchot was ecstatic about the support of its patrons this year.
In auctioning 57 donated artworks, it hauled in a record HK$8 million, while enjoying a dinner thrown by China Club founder David Tang Wing-cheung.
Guests were entertained by the comedy team of Kit and the Widow from London.
Henry Howard-Sneyd, managing director of Sotheby's Asia, conducted the bidding, which included a prized work by Zhang Xiaogang called Young Girl.
Enjoying the lively bidding were Ronald and Joanna Arculli, Peter Caplowe, Joe Fung, Bob Morse, Nicole Schoeni and Ivan Ting.
