Man faces murder charge over Lau Fau Shan body
Police yesterday charged a 33-year-old man with murder and one count of assaulting police officers. He will appear in Eastern Court today. The man was arrested in connection with a murder case after the body of a 37-year-old businesswoman was found in a remote area in Ha Pak Nai, Lau Fau Shan, on Tuesday. He is accused of assaulting police officers after his arrest.
Tour guide held for clash with colleague
Police arrested a Hong Kong tour guide over an assault on a female mainland colleague in a dispute on a tourist bus in Aberdeen. The incident happened when the man, 37, and the woman, also 37, argued about tour arrangements outside Ocean Park at about 1pm. Police said the woman accused the man of kicking her. The man was questioned at Aberdeen police station. No charge was laid.
drink-driving arrest after van hits vehicles
A man was arrested for drink-driving after his delivery van crashed into two parked vehicles in Mong Kok, injuring two female passengers. He lost control of his van and hit a truck and another goods van parked in Prince Edward Road West at about 5.30am. The two women, both 25, were treated at Kwong Wah Hospital. The man, 28, who was unhurt, was released on bail of HK$5,000.
South African woman faces cannabis count
Customs officers seized 20kg of herbal cannabis with a street value of about HK$680,000 and arrested a South African woman at the airport. She faces a charge of trafficking in a dangerous drug and will appear in Tsuen Wan Court today. Customs officers intercepted the 30-year-old, who had arrived from Johannesburg, at 8.30am and allegedly found 20 packages of herbal cannabis in her luggage.
police called after girl threatened with choppers
A woman, 51, called in police to arrest her son, 30, after he threatened his sister, 16, with choppers at their home in Tuen Mun. The man produced the choppers at the Leung Chun House flat in Leung King Estate during a quarrel over money at about 3.10pm. He was arrested when police arrived. No one was injured.

No one won the first prize in last night's Mark Six draw. The numbers were 16, 18, 25, 29, 33 and 43. The extra number was 41. Two tickets each won second prize of HK$898,255. Third prize paid HK$53,825.
