Bottoms up

Students from the HKTA Yuen Yuen Institute No2 Secondary School and their submersible robot, Yuen Yuen 2, celebrate success at the finals in the secondary school category of the Hong Kong Underwater Robot Challenge 2007, organised by City University and WWF. CityU and its drone Penguin were crowned champions in the universities and colleges division. Teams remotely controlled their self-designed robots to perform three tasks at the bottom of CityU's swimming pool. The competition was designed to reflect the challenges marine scientists face working in polar regions, in recognition of the International Polar Year in 2007.
