About 100 police officers were involved in an air-and-land search for illegal mainland immigrants during a 41/2-hour operation at Kam Shan Country Park, in Cheung Sha Wan. A police spokeswoman said no one was arrested, but a suspected hideout was discovered. The search was mounted following two robberies suspected to have been carried out by illegal immigrants in the district last month.
