Chine and chic

Started by French designer Luc Duchene 14 years ago, clothing label Chine combines the sensual fabrics of China with the couture cuts of Parisian fashion. Romantic, feminine and intricate, the collection comprises vintage-inspired clothing in fabrics such as embroidered satin, silk and lace. For separates that can be mixed and matched to your heart's content, opt for the tailored black satin gilet (right; HK$4,700), which looks great on its own, or over a top, and paired with a draped skirt featuring subtle embroidery (right; HK$6,942). For the evening, slip on a cream, off-the-shoulder lace dress with an unusual chiffon bodice and ribbons (above right; HK$6,942).
